1. To prevent potential actual threats, we prohibit violent expressions of physical, informational or mental hazard.
Under no circumstances may individuals, groups, and minority groups in need of protection to be subjected for any means of threats such as murder, abusive language, and other explicit hate speech in order to destroy their freedom and to cause mental and physical threat.
Furthermore, Online threats and intimidation may persist offline.
For healthy conversations and discussions to be carried on, users shall not rely on the use of violence and hate speech, and must feel safe from any means of violence. For this reason, mirrorboard prohibits language that incites or promotes violence.
If any contents are determined that there is a serious mental/physical threat or a direct threat to public safety, such content will be deleted and the account will be deactivated, and appropriate measures will further be taken in cooperation with the law enforcement authorities.
Any contents requesting, advocating, and supporting high-level threats of violence including but not limited to, murder, kidnap, abduction, use of weapons, and other means of violence, against individuals, groups, and minority groups in need of protection, shall be subjected to deletion of such contents, and account suspension will occur within certain specified period.
Above include followings:
- threaten to kill someone
- Threatening to rape and sexually harass someone
- Threatening to seriously injure someone, commit other acts of violence that could result in death or serious physical harm to someone
- Demanding or providing monetary compensation as a condition of inflicting violence on a specific person or group
- Any statements of intent to induce, advocate, aspire to, or exercise violent acts (including conditional statements)
- Any means of advocacy towards violence and terrorist groups
- Any content created for the purpose of disclosing that you are a member of a group at risk
- Advocating and encouraging the use and production of weapons and means of violence
- Content that contains statements of intent to use violence, incitement to violence, aspirations for, or references to conditions, or statements in favor of violence as a result of voting, election officials, voter registration, or election results management
- Mentioning or sharing sensitive information that may put others at risk
In particular, all content will be immediately deleted and the account will be blocked if it is intended to induce, advocate, admire, or engage in acts of violence against internationally recognized and protected any person under age and minority groups.
If a person appearing in your specific content requests deletion, it may be deleted based on truthfulness.
This policy is handled in conjunction with the hate policy.
2. We prohibit targeting of individuals on the basis of protected classes to avoid creating marginalized people due to hatred, prejudice or intolerance.
Freedom of expression is a basic human right, and It is mirrorboard's mission to empower people to create and share ideas and information, and to express their opinions and beliefs without barriers.
Our role is to provide an open dialogue that requires the expression of multiple points of view, and cyberbullying may threaten users from expressing themselves.
Studies have shown that certain groups of people are the target of unreasonable cyberbullying online. This includes women, people of color, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, homosexual, intersex, asexual, and marginalized and historically underestimated groups. These groups shall be identified as those in need of protection (protected classes).
Cyberbullying may be more common against people whose identities are associated with multiple minority groups, which in fact can cause more serious and detrimental harm.
We are committed to combating cyberbullying stemming from hatred, prejudice or intolerance, especially abuse that seeks to silence historically marginalized people. To this end, we prohibit the targeting of individuals for cyberbullying based on the protected classes as follows:

Content that is repetitive or one-sided, slander, abusive language, racial and sexist remarks, or demeaning
- Claims that people in certain protected classes are more likely to engage in dangerous or illegal activities (i.e.,, "All [certain religious groups] are terrorists").
- Content intended to incite fear or to spread stereotypes, which may lead to fear, about certain protected classes
- Content that seeks to specify certain protected classes, and to incite fear or spread stereotypes in order to incite fear on them
- Content intended to incite others to harass protected classes on or off the platform (i.e., "I'm sick of these [religious groups] thinking that they're better than us. If you see them wearing the [certain religious symbol], you have to take it away and take a picture of it!")
- Content intended to encourage others to discriminate in the form of denial of aids for economic activities of individuals or groups simply because they belong to a particular protected classes (i.e.,, “If you buy from a [certain religious organization] store, then you are helping [derogation on certain religious organization]. Don't give this [derogation on certain religious organization] any money!")
- Dehumanizing (depriving a person or group of positive human qualities) any group of people on the basis of religion, social status, caste, age, disability, serious illness, nationality, race, or ethnicity
- Claims that people in protected classes are more likely to engage in dangerous or illegal activities (i.e.,, "All [certain religious groups] are terrorists").

Desiring or soliciting serious harm to any specific person or group
Content that desires, promotes, causes, or expresses a desire for death, serious bodily injury or serious illness to the entire protected classes and/or to any individual who may be a member of that class
- Content that desires for the death of the entire protected classes and/or an individual who might be a member of that classes as a result of a serious illness (i.e.,, "I want all [country] people to die from COVID-19."
- Content that desires others to become victims of serious accidents (i.e.,, "The next time you tease your mouth, I hope you get hit by a car.")
- Content stating that a group of individuals deserves serious bodily harm (i.e.,, "If this [derogation] protester doesn't keep their mouths shut, he/she deserves to be shot.")
- Content that encourages others to use violence against individuals or groups because they belong to certain protected classes (i.e.,, "I want to beat [specific racial derogation]. Anyone wanna join me?")
- Content that maliciously depicts victims of the Holocaust, lynching, Nazi, occupation period, and violence
- References by the principal target or victim to a genocide, incident of violence, or specific method of inflicting violence against protected classes

Expression of hate speech and hateful image sharing
Content that shares or presents logos, symbols, or images that are intended to promote hostility and malice against others on the basis of race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or ethnicity/nationality
- Symbols historically associated with hate groups (i.e., swastikas for Nazis)
- Images depicting others as subhuman, or altering the image to include hate symbols (i.e.,, images of individuals altered to include animal features)
- Altered images with hate symbols or references to genocide targeting protected classes (i.e., Personal image manipulated with a yellow Star of David badge representing the Holocaust)
3. Access to mirrorboard by minors is prohibited.
Countries define minors as one of the most vulnerable groups from crime and danger, and also too early for minors to judge the legitimacy and appropriateness of various stories.
In order to protect the safety and freedom of minors worldwide, each country has specified standards and established norms for minors. In accordance with this definition, mirrorboard prohibits minors from accessing mirrorboard for the safety and freedom of minors. After reaching the age of majority, you may freely exchange opinions at mirrorboard.
Minors are based on the age of 18, and in countries where the criteria for minors are under 18, the 18-year-old standard shall be unified. If the standard for minors is 18 years of age or older for a specific country, it follows the regulations of that country.
4. Sexual objectification of minors, related harmful or dangerous conduct, explicit, profane or other inappropriate content and related comments are prohibited.
Minors are at an early age to judge the legitimacy and appropriateness of various stories, and are one of the most vulnerable groups from crime and danger. Your account will be deactivated for a certain period of time based on a report procedure in case you upload content that displays sexual objectification of minors, related harmful or dangerous conduct, explicit, profane or other inappropriate content.
This policy is in line with the No Minors Account Creation Policy.
Minors are based on the age of 18, and in countries where the criteria for minors are under 18, the 18-year-old standard shall be unified. If the standard for minors is 18 years of age or older for a specific country, it follows the regulations of that country.
Examples of account suspensions being implemented include:
- Solicitation and sharing of content of any kind that does not reflect the consent of the person involved in. Such contents include violence, sexual acts and sexual themes, death, drugs, etc which are unrelated to minors
— Since minors are not permitted to use mirrorboard, any adult-only subject involving minors will be considered to be missing a consent.
- Cyberbullying and harassment involving minors : Content that includes:
- Exposing personal information such as email address, bank account number, and address
- Content that incites harassment and targets individuals to abuse or to humiliate them
- Exposing personal information such as email address, bank account number and address that could lead to offline violence
In particular, when any content with sexual/explicit theme and content that includes child sexual exploitation is intentionally shared and/or posted, mirrorboard recognizes that it may lead to harm to children through the promotion of child sexual exploitation or beautification, and secondary harm to exposed minors, and immediately applies a zero-tolerance policy.
Accounts that violate the Child Sexual Exploitation Policy will be permanently suspended immediately. Furthermore, policy violators are also prohibited from creating new accounts in the future.
Content with Zero Tolerance Policy - Content that depicts or promotes child sexual exploitation (including links to third-party websites that may provide access to such content) will be removed without notice once found, and will further be notified to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and mirrorboard shall not be accountable for any additional disadvantages other than the actions taken within mirrorboard.
Examples of implementing a zero tolerance policy include:
- Content expressing a child engaging in sexually explicit or sexually suggestive behavior
- Accounts impersonating minors and content that impersonates minors and relates them to adult themes
- Text, links, or other forms of material that realistically depict children engaging in sexually explicit situations or behaviors
- Expressions and comments made about or directed to minors, regardless of their popularity.
- Links to third-party websites hosting child sexual exploitation materials
The following actions are also not permitted:
- Sharing of material that glorifies or promotes participation in child sexual exploitation
- Expressing a desire to obtain material that contains child sexual exploitation
- Advertise, express an interest in, or solicit any person to take part in, any commercial of sexual activity involving children which disguise its intention via appealing for fake protection and/or transport of children for sexual purposes
- Content that transmits or intends to transmit sexually explicit media to children
- Involving or encouraging children to engage in sexually explicit conversations
- Attempts to obtain sexually explicit media from children, or to engage children in sexual activity through incentives or coercion
- Identifying by name or image of a person suspected of being a victim of child sexual exploitation
- Inciting or justifying the sexual orientation of minors as a form of identity or sexual orientation
5. Posting and mentioning of all kinds of personal information is prohibited to avoid the possibility of offline crime and exposure to dangerous situations.
Conversations exchanged online should not lead to crime/violence in offline situation.
You must not post other's personal information (i.e., phone number and address) without their clear authorization and permission. Threats to the disclosure of personal information or encouraging others to do so are also prohibited.
Prohibited information is listed as below:
- Any form of government-issued number that may make your personal identity discernable
- Social Security Number (SSN), Passport Number, National Insurance/Health Service Number, Personal Public Service Number (PPS), Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)
- Government-issued identification from law enforcement, military or security personnel
- Any information specifying your/other's personal name that can be identified by an acquaintance of an individual or an unspecified user by exposing related information
- Personal phone number and address
- Email address and password
- Digital identity and password
- Password, PIN or code to access your personal information
- Any information that may be involved in your personal finances or the personal finances of others
- Financial records or statements, bank account numbers, and PIN codes
- Digital payment method information and login details, security, or PIN code
- Credit or debit card information and its expiry date, security or PIN code
- Financial information about your business or entity, such as:
- Financial records or financial statements (unless the business's financial records are publicly available; for example, registered on a stock exchange, regulatory authority, etc.)
- Residential information of yourself or others
- Identifiable information about the appearance of a private residence
- Exposure to all forms of residence
- City/neighborhood or GPS PIN (i.e., PIN for Google Maps) exposed
- If the content can identify the location of the resident
- Medical information about yourself or others
- Information that can identify an individual by specifying an identity or occupation
If there is any content that violates the prohibition involving minors, the account will be permanently suspended immediately.
